Process

Guiding Students Through Real-World Projects

I mentor students by helping them navigate the design process through hands-on projects. From conducting user research to delivering final high-fidelity prototypes, I emphasize the application of design thinking frameworks. By working on real-world problems, students gain practical experience in creating user-centered solutions that prepare them for industry roles.

Providing Personalized Feedback and Support

Throughout the program, I engage in one-on-one sessions with students, offering personalized feedback at every stage of their projects. I review their work, help refine their approach to problem-solving, and ensure they grasp the core principles of UX/UI design. My feedback helps students gain confidence in their abilities while encouraging them to push the boundaries of their creativity.

Encouraging Collaboration and Teamwork

Collaboration is a key component of the program, and I encourage students to work in teams and present their ideas to peers and stakeholders. By fostering an environment of open communication and teamwork, I help students develop not only their design skills but also their ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team—an essential skill in the UX industry.

Building Strong Portfolios for Career Success

One of my primary focuses as a mentor is helping students build compelling portfolios that reflect their understanding of UX/UI principles. I guide them in selecting and presenting their work in a way that highlights their strengths and industry readiness. A strong portfolio is crucial in helping students transition into product design roles, and I ensure they leave the program equipped with one.

Outcome

My mentorship has empowered students to take confident steps in their design careers. Many have successfully transitioned into product design roles, equipped with a strong understanding of user-centered design and the ability to apply UX principles effectively. I stay connected with my mentees, offering ongoing support as they continue to develop in their professional journeys. Their success is a testament to the importance of hands-on guidance and real-world application in education.
